Ah so last night I was heading over to my friend's house and I spot an NSX up ahead; it was an older NSX, probably with the 3.0 liter motor. I decided to see if this guy wanted to play tag so I casually pass him by but keeping my revs a little high so he can hear my SystemU (UUC);).
As we make our way up the road with a gradual incline I can tell this guy is down for a run, he drives pass me and threw down a couple revs. The road now started to get clear and we waited for some room to run, I'm now ahead of the guy in 3rd gear doin around 75-80mph; my revs are pretty high now and with my windows down I can't hear a damn thing so I can't tell if this guy is gonna run or not.

Next thing I know he screams passed me and gets about a 3/4 car jump ahead...I react quick since I'm still in 3rd. I take 3rd all the way to the limiter 7200 (Thanks Turnermotorsports) :devillook; neither of us are gaining, we are at a stalemate. We see cars ahead so we shut it down at about 105 and proceed to go our separate ways.

Interesting race, I'm glad to see I held up so good. Too bad neither of us got to show the full potental of our cars, oh well.

Mods: 540 3.5" HFM, Turner chip, 3.5" intake, UUC sysU, UUC ssk and tranny mounts.

Nice one! Maybe he chickened out after knowing what your car could do!

That's pretty awesome - I want to go against an NSX sometime. Good run!

(sorry, im posting under my brothers sn- my sn is Cris)
Not too bad. I had a 92 NSX and my brother had a 95 m3 with chip, intake and exhaust. The NSX was such an unbelievable car to drive - I will say that although I have always been a BMW enthusiast, but that NSX... well, its just unbelievable... In anycase, off the line, the nsx was hard to launch and the two cars would be about even until the m3 starts to shift to third. This is where the NSX has an advantage because you can run second out to around 82 MPH and 3rd gear goes up to 110-115. So while the m3 was shifting to third, the NSX would be in vtec gaining a lot of ground against the m. Same goes with shifting from 3rd to 4th for the m because the gearing on that NSX really gave it an advantage. Otherwise the cars are going to be very similar on the back roads. The NSX is probably easier to drive at the limit and its surprisingly predictable. I would also say that its much more entertaining to drive even though the older models don't have power steering.

In anycase, good run!
