Hey, my M3's seats get really sticky whenever its hot out. Sticky enough to take all the fuzz of your clothes when you try and get out of them, or they will take your thumbprint if you press your thumb to them. This can't be normal since i've never encountered another vehicle with this problem.

I was wondering if you guys had any ideas on what i can do to solve this problem. I've tried lexol and that has no effect.

After reading many leatherique reviews i'm thinking this might be the way to go. Although one thing that concerned me is someone mentioned that if there were any silicon based products on the seats the leatherique products cannot work properly. Is there any way what is causing my seats to be so sticky is a silicon based product? and if so, how do i remove it?

I bought this car last August, so i pretty much drove it during the cooler seasons, and now that it is hot out, the seats are making me drive my Audi more then i'd want to.

When you used Lexol did you use plenty of water or did you just spray the cleaner on. if so, that's the source of your stickyness. Lexol needs to be used with plenty of water otherwise it just doesn't suds up and isn't removed easily.

If you have Nappa leather, and I think you do, the leather care experts recommend against using Lexol conditioner because it will make Nappa leather sticky.

Clean up the leather before applying Leatherique. Go over the seats with a dilute solution of the Lexol cleaner as Hal9000 suggested, then apply the Leatherique oil. You may need more than one application to get good results.
