Just wanted to see if anyone else would be interested in the Depo angel eyes for E36 models. I can try to get a vendor to offer a resonable price for them if I get approx 10 individuals interested.

THE GB IS CLOSED

PICTURES OF THE LIGHTS INSTALLED ON THE CAR ARE ATTACHED IN THIS POST. THANKS MOOLALA!

Since we got a few interested I found a vendor that is willing to do the GB.

The lights comes with wiriing/harnesses/Genuine Philips bulbs.

The angel eyes are built-in and theres no need to open them up or do any wiring on the inside. The angel eye uses bulbs.

They have them in stock and if we can get 10 individuals then we can get them for $195 shipped in the 48 states.

Reply to this post if anyone else is interested. :redspot

Read the posts thoroughly plus AE on DEPO's sucks. Light is so faint you wont even see it if the lights are on or in daytime. I say go for DDE Lightning if you want AE's.

The rings where you can see during the day? Haha, yeah right. Just go to the Umnitza.com website to get an idea of how much those cost.

I've seen some Depo ones with DDE rings for about $350-375 on eBay, I believe. You can check there. ;)

Honestly, this is one of the best deals I've seen for depo angel eyes. Everyone knows the difference between the various options for the lights but not many want to spend over 400 for them. I spoke to emotiongarage and was informed that the included wiring harness is what allows for plug and play. It is an easy install from what I've heard.

I don't know why theres so much bashing in this thread. I've tried to coordinate a gb on these headlights since I needed some myself and figured I could get the cost down for those who are interested as well.

So if you are not pleased with these angel eyes wait a few months and go buy yourself some DDE from umnitza, its that simple. Also, some of the participants in the other GB sent in money orders and never received their lights. I can vouch for emotionGarage (purchased countless parts from them) and I know they are extremely reliable and stand behind their product. Win/Win situation if you ask me.

The wiring harness will pretty much be plug and play. Instructions are very straightforward and looks to be a 30min job.

im saving my money and time for the umnitza dde's...i used to have those ones with the led's and they jus suck...sorry guys....dde's here i come!!

of course that made no sense at all, only because your spending 400+ on a set with dde's installed. go ahead and waste your money for all i care. you also mention wasting time, well, you wont waste any time when you just let your dad install them (just seems that your grammar skills are of a ten year old kid).

as for the bashing, stop this **** now. im getting sick of it. you guys may think that everyone is rich, or parents will buy everyone on your street an m3, well, there are a lot more that own the ultimate driving machine, and would love to save money when it comes to them. instead of spending 400 dollars on a pair with dde's installed, why not buy a pair with angel eyes for 200, and then you could always upgrade to the dde's for 100 extra, saving money. its not a matter about being rich, but its a fact of managing money, and how smart a person is to understand all this. the next person to bash this group buy will get a suprise visit and a nice smack in the face.

Why bother with a 325 when you can save up for an M3. Same reason why I'm getting these headlights. So I can have something better than what I have now and if I'm not satisfied I can upgrade it later.

And I have a lot better things to spend $245 on than "dde's without the houseing ".

I'm interested in this GB, but got some questions cuz I'm a n00b :95 . (I don't really expect question 2 to be answered, but in case you knew it'd help)

How exactly do these AE work? Are they just rings or can you switch between rings and the full bulb? (daytime/night time) The rings itself don't look very bright at all...

Are these daytime running lights legal and/or bright enough for Canadian use? I just don't want to get ticketed time and time again for non-sufficient DRL.

Thanks. :help

Yes, you can switch between the rings and the full bulbs. They're just to accentuate the appearance of the car. Not to serve as driving lights.

Not sure about the laws over in Canada but I don't think they'll warrant any citations here in California.

One thing, the projector that depo uses with this headlight does indeed suck. It's their H7 version and puts out noticeably less light than their h1 version. This is how things were about 6 months ago, whether or not t hey have changed anything since then is unknown to me, but I would assume not.

The other issue with these is that if you want to upgrade to DDEs later or whatnot, you will have to buy a different headlight. The rings will not fit in the light without the front lens, and the front lens doesn't clear the lowbeam projector IIRC. Just something to keep in mind.

Also, keep note that these do look very dim on the highway and not really like "angel eyes." :) have a happy gb.

I did not buy them for the AE, just the increased visibiltiy. Well, I am sure they are not highly visible during the day, however, they look good at night.

I also purchased that 3M (StoneGuard) stuff from Umnitza. It looked horrible on my clear glass though. I also got them for my diamond fogs and it made them look sorta opaque. Definitely wouldn't recommend them if you want them to be "clear". If you don't mind a little opaque-ness, then I'd go for them. Plus, they're great for insurance, like Budster has said. I don't have any nicks or scratches on mine and I've gone 140 or so in my car. But then again, maybe my area is not as full of "debris" like other areas. :dunno

This is incorrect. Sure, it's LIKELY that you had issues with the install, but the product is supposed to be completely clear when installed properly. Note the pitting on the actual paint just to the left of the car's headlight.

Also note that this headlight that is clear actually has the stongard on it.

The relay states that it is designed for 12V/30Ah, but the battery from my E36 is giving out 75Ah. If your relay is the same as the one I got, then it might not last very long. I plan on creating a new relay that's designed for higher input. Any thoughts?
