Coming back from DC i hit the rain Hard, it's so bad that i couldn't see the road.. as i come to the HWY my car is runnun like shyt.. it cutts off. I'm like Wha da.. then i realise my Dinan Cold air intake is suckin up all da freakin water on da road.. I'm like shyt my investment.. I hope i didn't hydro-lock my shyt. I get the car started again.. i start to get da jerk moves so i pull into the nearest gas station. at this tyme the rain is non-stop I couldn't see were i was walkin..lol Well so happen to be my boi from Andrews AFB shows up in his moded M3.. he's like man shyt heakid son.. Word B.. my shyt suckin up mad water son. .. Word yo u got cold air i'm like yea.. lets disconnect the tube.. So make a long story short I take the carbonfiber tube apart and let the car run as is.. I then jump on da hwy (495) and head towards home. I'm freakin out cause i left my celly home if i get stuck i'm gonna be hot. Well i make it home in sum traffic. car still a lill jerky like it's gonna cutt off. .. It cut off once i stoped and keep on doing that all the way to my exit. I fianly reach my block the rain has gone and pass by this time i pull into the nearest gas station. My car is actin mad shyty yo i hope i didn't fuc sumdang up. Anyway i reconnected the Tube to the air mass meter. Car is still actin a lill funny so i went and brought sum dry gas about three bottles from the gas station..

I then trun my car back on it's runnin fine for now. I shift threw the grears a lill bangin out hard RPMs just to get that dry gas flowin threw da system.. So to end this story my car is better now running fine. Great thing i caught that cold air thing before it got worse..

I'll keep everyone informed on how the car is running in the mean tyme i'm about to head up to NY peep u Kats latter

Holla

damn $QUEENZ$ so the problem was definetely the dinan CAI sucking up water? Was the filter wet when you took it off?

he's like man shyt heakid son..

I got everything but that part.

Maybe your HFM got wet? If the car actually sucked up a large amount of water into the motor, it wouldnt get better. Water doesnt compress too well.

All I got was it was raining heavy.
If water got in there I doubt very much the engine would crank.
You be looking for a new engine.
That is how my car became a 328ti. The previous owner drove through high water and hydrolocked the engine.

Why the hell is a CAI that low to the ground anyway?
HFM or MAF could be the culprit.
Don't know how much a HFM is but I do know a MAF for my car is Xpensive.

you're concentrating on the fuel system. the water came in through the intake, right?
