Not really a kill, but a quick stint with an E46 Dinan M3.
The wife and I were on our way to work the other day and noticed the M3 on the freeway, very pretty car. Just so happens that we both get off of the same exit and we're right behind him. We're at a light in the left lane but he has a minivan in front of him. Light turns green and we creep up to about 30mph but there's no where to go since the minivan won't budge and there's a dumptruck blocking us in the right lane. We wait, and wait, and wait....finally the minvan speeds up a bit and the dump truck falls back, the gap widens enough to slide through. He hits his blinker to get over to the right and is kind enough to not just squeeze through but to make sure that there's enough room for us too (the 7 is an 'iL'). I hit my blinker as well letting him know to hit it and he punches it..so do I.
I have a feeling that he hit the rev limiter becuase his car lurched forward then bounced a bit then forward again. None the less I was right on his tail to about 70 or so then he shut it down and got over. I stayed in the right lane and came up next to him. We rolled down the windows and chatted for a few seconds. "I can't believe you kept up with me", he says. I laughed and told him that I was in the sweet spot and promised him at any other place or had we run for much longer he would have walked me. We exchanged niceties for a few more minutes then he pulled off into what I assumed was his workplace. Very nice guy, very nice car, fun run.
