Well boys and gals, here we have it, the MD and Surrounding Areas Summer Installfest 2004.

-Who has parts sitting in the garage waiting to be installed? I know I do!
-Who needs help installing those parts? I know Dcardenas does!
-Who wants to eat some burgers/pizza and down a few beers while installing these things? I know I do!

Why not do it at my house? (PM me for address :shifty) This coming Sunday June 27th at whatever time. I think noon sounds ok? (Dcardenas needs to show up extra early because his suspension will take all day)

Who's down for some random installs and FOOD?!?!?! :eyecrazy:

EDIT

Installs:
Dcardenas-suspension (cancelled :()
Greekm3-brakes and JTD underpanel
Dave is Cool-not quite sure yet  Armrest?
Preppy-AA shift knob, ltw wing
OK Branko-not quite sure yet (there for food)
BoomerBimmer-SSK
Richard-just stopping by to help :)
MWhip: bunch of little stuff ;)

Also people bring whatever tools you have, better safe than sorry. :)

Oh also, as for food, we've got burgers and pizza (delivery, not Degorno's ;)) and Dave is bringing beer. What kind of soda/pop does everyone want? Is burgers and pizza okay? What about hot dogs?

SOMEONE NEEDS TO BRING CHIPS!...my mom bought everything BUT chips, she thinks they're unhealthy :help

dave is cool

I might need my armrest installed, and maybe some control arms, control arm bushings, tie rods, supercharger, and a turbo.

Preppy

Richard
06-21-2004, 01:55 PM
Chris, Sounds good. I'll try to stop by for a few hours.

Boomerbimmer: I've installed a few SSKs before. That Bitch clip IS hard to get off. It's easier with a lift. I can help you out with that.

All, I also have my old stobes from my M that I want to sell. I bought them from http://www.strobesnmore.com/
If you go to this site and click on "Complete Strobe Systems" then "X-Pak/Super-Pak..." I think mine is a 90 watt w/ 4 heads. I'll have to go home and make sure it's a 90 watt system. It's bright as he!!. Chris has seen them before.

I'll sell it for $100. Whoever wants them, I'll drill the holes and install the bulbs for free!! :alright

Preppy
06-25-2004, 12:32 PM

Change your sig man. That's not Pelitist worthy at all :nono

potomac
06-25-2004, 12:34 PM
Dude, that guy is the epitome of Pelitism. :redspot

I dunno...I just ordered a SSK, tranny mounts, RTABs, RSMs, carrier bushings, and coilovers hopefully soon. But they won't be here by Sunday. :(

So Im gonna hop in officialy with fender rolling and painting calipers...A bunch of diff people can paint calipers if they want to; that way we could do it together and hopefully avoid any troubles.

Is that cool?

PS, I can pick up some caliper paint kits and rotor hat paint.

devilbones
06-25-2004, 12:44 PM
I have an RTAB tool if anyone wants to do this again in the near future. I need to do mine too but I dont have the RTABS. :(

potomac

If you could loan me that...yeeaaaa, that would be awesome.
I'll give you Emma Watson nudes even.

Dude, kiddie porn nudes in exchange for borrowing an RTAB tool? Sounds like a hell of a deal to me.

Get your Pelitist priorities straight: 1. ourselves 2. our cars 3. our dignity/morales 4. wives/SO's.

And plus, us Pelites are dirty old pedo men...we like the underage brothels.

So what color paint do you want? Are you gonna paint your rotor hats/clearcoat your rotors?

Preppy
06-25-2004, 01:16 PM
there's no point in clear coating my rotors....

I'm gonna do it in red again, maybe, I dunno. Actually I change my mind, no caliper painting for me

potomac
06-25-2004, 01:19 PM

Is there gonna be a jack and some stands?
Does anyone know how to take the caliper off?

Um, so can I get by with using fix-a-flat to get to your house? It's like 5 miles away...

No, but I have the instructions. It looks pretty easy. We might need a sawzall, it shouldnt be too bad. I have seen other people attempt it without the tool and it took them like 6+ hours.

potomac
06-25-2004, 03:10 PM
You dont have a spare? Or do Pelites not roll like that?

My spare has a similar, if not bigger rip in it. I'm trying to bring my spare somewhere and bum a tire off of someone. It's not working too cool.

Devilbones, would you be willing to get together with me sometime next week and maybe tackle our RTABs? You should order the RTAB combo from MPACT.

potomac
06-26-2004, 12:36 AM
I used fix-a-flat, and this junker tire I got seems to be holding. There are huge bulges in the sidewall though. Is it ok to drive?

Um, any way I can do an oil change while I'm there as well?
I'm gonna stay till about 5:00 or so btw.

Do we have a tool that will unbolt my brake pad form the caliper? I don't know what tool it is...maybe an allen wrench?

bogdan
06-26-2004, 12:48 AM

OK, so just to make sure, I'm down for the following...

1. Rolling Fenders (will need some help here)
2. Painting Calipers (will need help to unbolt caliper, but that's it.)
3. Oil Change (will need minimal help to go under car and get to the bleeder screw.)

So that's about it.

Mr. Maboomba
06-26-2004, 01:09 PM
I won't make it. I'm going to the BMWCCA autocross.

potomac
06-26-2004, 01:59 PM
Well, looks like I will just be painting calipers and rolling fenders. I might just paint my wheels with some wheel paint that I got while they're off the car. Wait...does anyone actually care? Whoops!

CASTRO
06-26-2004, 04:29 PM

Yea, my favorite part was when the hot chicks showed up and threw cash up in the air and when Jim Conforti dropped by and gave us free parts.
