"Why, how much is an M5" Around $60k, so I start pointing out some really good deals on a 325is automatic (for Nicole it needs to be an Auto) so she starts looking at M3s.. HA HA.. [homer] No dear I get an M3 first not you![homer]. ;)

Well anyways I guess the point of this post is that we are looking in the near future to add another BMW to the family. So anyone have a good deal on a 3 series auto.. Geordie any cars on the lot? ;)

E34s are awsome cars, but keep in mind that many of the 530/540s have the Nikisil block problem. My wifes old 525 is a great car and the 535s are even better if you can find them. You can pick up 525s all day long for cheap.

No big problems that I've ever heard of. Those can be found for really cheap too. The driving pleasure of the E39 is a pretty big improvement over the E34 thanks to the amount of aluminium that was incorperated into the suspension components. That can also translate to unwanted shimmies though if you're not careful about what kind of upgrades (wheels/tires, etc/) you choose. :(
