Has anyone any experience with Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo and/or Paint Cleansing Lotion. I'm thinking of giving these products a try and just wanted to hear if there were any negative experiences (or the opposite!) Thanks. :redspot

I've tried the bodywork shampoo. Good suds, great feel, love the smell. I dunno if it's worth the $$$'s though. I'm currently using their Detailers Pride car shampoo.

I've experimented with practically all the products in the Pinnacle line--the Bodywash, SOuveran Paste Wax, Signature Series Wax, and the Leather Conditioner are the best of their products--and well worth the $$! :buttrock

Ordered the Sig Wax, looking forward to trying it. Also ordered the Cleansing Lotion - any experience with that? Sounds like great stuff. :buttrock

that paint lotion is going to be like gepc or VM probably... mild cleaning for LIGHT oxidation, lots of oils, a good post leveling glaze or pre wax polish. Don't expect it to take out swirl marks, it might slightly fill, but very light abrasive. That is all a gues.s..

Using their whole product line... top quality stuff there. A little pricey, but I like it !!

Any tips for a newbie using this stuff? Any worries, or is it a no-brainer? Never used any kind of paint cleaner before... :help

Pretty much a no brainer for the paint cleansing lotion. You can't really screw it up unless you're using a towel/applicator that scratches.

Thanks, Hal. What would be the best applicator? Would a terry cloth or terry sponge work? Microfiber?

I prefer a pure foam applicator (then again I'm lazy and use a PC). Stay away from terry if you don't need the additional cutting power that terry cloth can add. Quality MF's are good if you're doing a small localized area. I use them for spot cleaning.

Good stuff if your paint is in good condition. I use it as a pre-cleaner. If I have light swirls, minor scratches I use usually something a little heavier like 3M.

Like to know what you think afterwards!

Yeah, paint is in good condition. I'm going to actually wash it myself after even months of strictly car wash washes (logistical reasons) and want to use something after the wash that is just somewhat stronger to remove accumulated grime... I'll let you know what I think. :)

I've used all of the Pinical Products for 2 years. Their tyre dressing doesn't compare to Black Magic. Their leather conditioner is GREAT and it LASTS. The paint cleanser isn't better than simple Dawn. Shampoo is GOOD, although not as agressive as it should be. I guess it is made that way so that once the wax is applied it shouldn't need agressive detergents to remove road grime and bugs, and not to take the wax off. The vinyl conditioner is ok. Waxes here in HOT humid Fla doesn't last more than 1-1.5 months. I would recomend adding 2 coats for the 1st time and reapplying every month if u live in a place like I do. Their wax is by far is one of the best. Unfortunatly in my area I need to apply more than the recomended once every 6 months. I used to wax every month and all stayed cool.

Although I've switched...Zaino. Shine lasts loner.

Pinnacle is a SOLID, RELIABLE product.

However, it doesn't really stand out. There are better options out there, including Klasse, Wolfgang, Zaino, etc.

check out autopia.org
for a wealth of info.

On a black car I'd use meguiar's Swirl Free Polishf ollowed by some Trade Secret or s100. It will look very rich.

I used the shampoo yesterday (didn't have time for the cleaner and wax - but it was recently waxed) and the car looks great! I'm really impressed with the shampoo. Can't wait to give it the full treatment! :)
