hello. my 535i has a wood trim and the center console has lost it's glossy look... (excessive wear) what can i do to restore the gloss and make it look as good as all the other pieces of wood trim in my car?

use that armorall wipe stuff... made my interior shine and it's lasted a few months so far.

Sand it down and re-laquer...

From what I have heard, the wood trim pieces are real wood with multiple layers of clear coat over it, so you can polish it just like your exterior. I only tried it with some glaze, and wax, and it came out looking great. But this was on my E36, not sure if your car's wood is the same..

I polished it with FI2 and waxed it with furniture paste wax (I build furniture) although you can use any natural wax for that matter. It will not damage the finish. I have an E46 with wood trim.

I was shopping in a local hardware store and noticed a generic product (in a small tube) that took out minor scratches on PDA/mobile phone LCD screens; probably some type of abrasive polish. Purchased it in the hope of getting some fine scratches off my mobile phone LCD screen. Didn't work so good as the scratches were too deep for polish to woork

My center wood console between my psgr & driver's seat had many small light scratches which were quite noticable & dulled the wood finish when viewed at a certain angle. Decided to try this stuff, eureka, all the small scratches disappeared and the wood finish is sparkling bright.
