jasonmicM3 06-14-2004, 06:59 PM I have a 97 m3 and live in alpharetta and i was told that a decent amount of people get together and go on rides and meets. I was wondering if this is true and if so when do you guys meet. If you wouldnt ming get back to me on this i have been trying to find some people around here with m3's and such
thanks
Sparc_it 06-14-2004, 07:02 PM you came to the right place. You missed one yesterday though. There will be more though. DOn't fret
jasonmicM3 06-14-2004, 08:57 PM so how often are they once a month or once every six months
Kyle K. 06-14-2004, 09:01 PM We've got a REALLY active group around here. I've been part of the BMW community in both NJ and SoCal and the meets around here are much more often and much larger than anywhere else. We do something every month for the most part... we'll probably have the next one set up pretty soon (Geordie... cook-out man... cook-out).
A lot of the time we have dinners on weeknights and they typically get 15-30 people, and the meets/drives probably have closer to 40 people. The most common car is probably the e36 m3 but a lot of guys a lot more people have e46s now... and I've got a MINI. :help
Anyway, just check out this forum every now and then and we'll have something going on soon. It's a really great group of people too. Hope to see you out at the next meet.
punknamedjimmy 06-14-2004, 10:02 PM we usually have mountain drives once a month, and dinners once a month.
so usually about 2+ times a month.
03X530 06-14-2004, 10:06 PM Amazingly, i haven't been able to make it out to any one of these things.

Yeah... what the hell is the matter with you. Come to a damn meet or at least come back to Tech some time and we can smoke a cigar or something.

I actually go to Tech almost every day for physics but only there for like 2 hrs max. That class is just a PITA, tests creep up every 2 weeks and now we have tests this week and next. I'll IM you after next wednesday (test day) and drop by your fraternity house or something.
markb50k 06-15-2004, 12:23 AM welcome Jason, and like the others have said, if you are looking for an active bunch of folks, you've come to the right place.
tabasco 06-15-2004, 06:42 AM Welcome! Glad to see more people named Jason making it on to the internet!

Bremsen 06-15-2004, 07:58 AM Welcome to the board Jason. Like others have said.....just keep an eye on this forum, there will be another meet soon.

Mmmmmm... Cigars... :D I just got one of those new Helix cigars to try out.
Scotch too?? :)
Kyle K. 06-15-2004, 07:24 PM I'm not 21 yet so I just drink soda. :devillook Helix is really good for the price, I enjoy them fairly often. There are obviously better cigars out there but at 3ish bucks a pop you're not going to find one. We should have a cigar meet some time... or just make the people at the regular meets deal with our smoke. :evil2 :smoke2:

Works for me! Last cigar I had was a Drew Estate Natural...I wanted to try their non-incensed one, and I loved it. Highly recommended.
03X530 06-15-2004, 11:19 PM I say we have a little lunch cigar smoking GTG at Tech one of these weekdays.
Kyle K. 06-16-2004, 12:08 AM Most Friday nights a few of my friends and I will light them up on the deck. I don't really like smoking cigars unless I'm either alone or with other people smoking cigars or people that often smoke them. I've found that most people hate cigar smoke but are too bashful to ask you to put one out if you're in a group... So I generally smoke late at night (I'm actually about to go out and burn a Sancho Panza right now. ) During the day on campus is just too busy to enjoy a nice cigar.
We should meet up at the GA Cigar Depot in Buckhead. They're got a few leather couches that should easily seat 4-5, and the atmosphere is perfect. The guys that work there have always been more than helpful with good recommendations too.
zeit00 06-16-2004, 07:14 AM Let me know as well.. I actually just had a Patron last night.. Awesome cigar. I do all my shopping at that cigar store.. Great place.
03X530 06-16-2004, 11:08 AM Where in Buckhead is GA cigar depot? I normally go to Scottish Tobacco near Sidney Marcus and Piedmont. They have 2 leather couches but a small shop. I might have to drive by cigar depot today and check the place out.
Kyle K. 06-16-2004, 12:28 PM It's right off of Piedmont in the big Kroger shopping center. If you're going from Tech, take 400N to the 1st exit and turn left at the top of the offramp. Then turn left again at the 2nd light (Piedmont, 1st light is into the big shopping plaza) and the shopping center is on your right. The actual store is off to the right of Kroger.
zeit00 06-16-2004, 02:04 PM Its right next door to a Jason's Deli, CostPlus and a Kroger. It is kind of easy to miss if you don't know what to look for. Oh and there is a Starbucks out front on the road.
ahutson03 06-16-2004, 02:12 PM Im usually a Bolivar man myself... Ill have to make a trip up and try one of these bigger places

adeelpowers 06-16-2004, 10:40 PM I dreamt of smoking a cigar last night, weird.
greateratlanta 06-16-2004, 11:01 PM I like to keep some La Gloria Cubana Series R #6 maduro in the dor. Have any of you tried the Ashton VSG line? I've only had one and I can't decide if it is really worth iit....they go for $10 and up. Oh and I go to "Up In Smoke" over near Northlake, just wondering if anyone else does.
