It seems like many are running 225/40s on 18x8.5 wheels. 225 seems a bit narrow for 8.5". I'm going to be going to 18x8.5 wheels (Offset in the 40-43 range depending on which wheel I finally go with) and would like to get everyone's thought on this.
Also, would it be odd to run 245/35 for the rear and 225/40 on the front if all 4 wheels are 8.5"? I like the look of wide tires in the back. I'm not tracking this car so I'm not concerned about minimizing the understeer.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks guys for the reply. Any comments on running "staggered" tire sizes with the same size rims?
Also, it seems like running 235/35 or 235/40s will alter the overall diameter of the tire significantly smaller or larger than the original diameter. Wouldn't that be an issue?
Thanks again!
