Hey everyone, I'm in need of a clutch change so I decided to go with a UUC 8.5Lb flywheel with a SPEC stage II clutch. Does anyone know a mechanic in central or north NJ that can install this clutch for me at a reasonable cost? Last time I had my clutch replaced at the dealership they charge me an arm and a leg. Any mechanics on this board that can change it for me?

You can try Don Fields at Mr. M Car. His shop is at Allaire airport in Farmingdale. (732) 919-2299.

Don't think I have the skills/tools to do it on my own. So far price quotes have been in the 600-700 range.... not good at all.

new vernon coach and motorworks does great work. they work on ferraris and porsches all day so i trust them with my car. i don't know how much they'd want for a clutch job though.

contact george at Imported Cars of Stamford... Connecticut that is...may be a bit far, but he's a good guy and an AA installer/dealer...and a member of the boards here. So it may be worth traveling a little further to have the work done. He goes by "ImportedCars" here on bf.c.

George installed my UUC flywheel/ M5 clutch as well, at a very reasonable price.
