View Full Version : Thanks Georgia forum!!!
///MZG 06-07-2004, 10:46 AM I would like to formally thank the members of this board who made my new General Lee hat transform from a dream to a reality.
The hat arrived on Friday, and let me tell you, it was everything I imagined it could be! I wore it most of the weekend and got tons of compliments on it from friends and strangers alike.
So, without delay . . .thanks to Anna for picking up the hat, Will for funding the venture and mailing it to me, and finally, Ron for acting as my agent to innitiate the deal. Y'all rule (this is the Southern Hospitality I was speaking of!)
Once I have a suitable photo of the hat in action, I will post it.
bcart1991 06-07-2004, 11:10 AM I'm glad I could help?

I will add you to my acceptance speech . . .I would also like to thank Geordie for transporting the hat from Anna to Will. Without this integral step, the hat may have never found its way to Seattle. ;)
03X530 06-07-2004, 11:30 AM While everyone was working on getting your hat to you, i was here on the forums making sure someone was here to represent the GA crowd. Always gotta have a delegate to represent.
///MZG 06-11-2004, 11:31 AM Well, the General Lee hat has officially almost gotten me beat-down.
After work last night I went to pretty much the crappiest bar in Seattle for some beers with 2 coworkers. My hair looked like crap from wearing my hard hat for the last 3 hours of the day, but luckily I had the General Lee hat in my truck.
We proceed to have a great time drinking beers and having appetizers for a couple hours, until it happened. I was walking to the bathroom to break the seal when some big hillbilly focker spots me. He is obviously drunk as hell and maybe I could have kicked him in the nuts and made a break for it, but I did not think that fast.
He makes some inane comment like "hey guys, check out this fag . . .he thinks he's Luke Duke" (yeah, because the duke boys wore hats with a picture of their own cars  ) I shrugged it off and continued to the bathroom. When I came out I thought it was over and no more comments were going to be made. . .I was wrong.
As I walk back to the table he makes basically the same comment as he made before. This time I stopped (liquid courage rising!) and said, "Hey Grizzly, why don't you finish your drink, pack up your napsack and hike your ass back up into the woods from which you came." Well, this was not the smartest thing I have ever said to someone who has 40 or more pounds on me, but whatever.
I think he was in shock at this point. It took him a moment to get up and begin following me to where we were sitting. Just as I settled back in at our table he wanders up and begins talking shit. Before I even had a chance to respond, my big muscle-head boss stands up and gets in face. This was probably the best thing that could have happened. The hick realized that he was outmanned and overmatched.
He mumbled some sort of insult and sulked back to his Bud can.
So, if I had been by myself I would likely be posting from the hospital, all thanks to the General. I officially take back my thanks for the hat, you bastards :stickoutt

That's what I was thinking. Or, he thought that maybe if he picked the toughest looking guy in the bar and picked on him, that he could gain some respect.
Ron17 06-11-2004, 05:00 PM Or, he thought that maybe if he picked the toughest looking guy in the bar and picked on him, that he could gain some respect.
Then that's obviously not it... :shifty
///MZG 06-11-2004, 06:46 PM Then that's obviously not it... :shifty
:( Maybe he needed a boost in self confidence, so he picked the weekest looking guy and was going to beat him (me).
WEB150 06-11-2004, 06:47 PM I have been away from the board since yesterday afternoon (whor, who woulda thunk it?). I can't believe all the developments. This is some funny Sh1t. LawyerM5 is a 14 year-old kid living with his grandma and Zach almost got his ass kicked over a hat I sent him last week. Wow! The internet sure is a cool place.
punknamedjimmy 06-11-2004, 07:18 PM omgz lolz i'm getting all warm and fuzzies
