I've been looking at a number of different quick detailing sprays, reading different threads, etc. I've noticed that some QD have carnuba, some do not. Does anyone have a full list of which is which? Should I even care? If it matters, I'm not looking at using a QD as a subtitute for washing, just for touch ups or after washes. Thanks for any info.

(I hope I spelled that right...)

Anyway, if you are using a wax that is carnuba based, then you can use the carnuba based QD. HOWEVER, if you are using something like Zaino, then the carnuba based stuff will mess everything up. (because the Zaino wax will not let the carnuba stick to it).

Hope this helps.

I'm sure someone will set that right, but I *believe* it is more like this: You can use the carnuba-based QD's on top of just about anything (including Zaino and Klasse SG) as long as you don't try to subsequently put one of those non-carnuba friendly products on after the QD.

If you need a QD in your routine BEFORE the Zaino/Klasse SG step, then you want a non-carnuba based product like Meguiars #34 Final Inspection.

Is SpeedShine carnuba based? How about Eagle One Wipe n Shine?

AFAIK, non carnuba - Meg's Final Inspection (not their Quick detailer), Sonus, Zaino's, Wolfgangs. I believe Clearcote's product is non carnuba as well. I think Griot's IS carnuba based. Eagle One, Meg's Quick Detailer, Mothers are all carnuba based.
