Ok, so my car was keyed really bad, so i took on the task of repainting the doors. Now, the paint that i got was an EXACT factory match, i tried it on many different spots, etc etc.
However, when i did the doors and applied the clearcoat it looked the same... for about two days... After I did the final sanding and used the rubbing compound to shine it up, the paint appears WAY darker than the factory paint, but ONLY at night. in daylight, you cant tell the difference.
Now I know I should have blended the paint, but this is my first big paint job and I didnt want to take the chance of making it look worse. Are there any paint experts or professional painters that could tell me why this is or a way to fix it? Either way... different color paint is better than my doors saying "DONT PARK HERE" ... lol
