I am interested in installing mudflaps (rear ones definitely, maybe front ones too) on a 2003 325it. I have seen them on-line at various places and figured it would be lots cheaper to DIY than have done at the dealer. I am not an accomplished mechanic by any means- my main concern is whether I have to drill into any metal and create possible rust spots or are these just a simple screw in type install into existing holes/slots in the wheel arch. Anyone done this or have any input? Thanks in advance. I have searched the archives and can only find install DIY for Z4 and E36. If not anyone have any idea how much this would cost at the dealer?

Its a fairly easy mod to install if thats what you are wondering. I think you do have to drill. IMO they break the lines of the car, but more power to you if you like them.

These are what I put on mine. Some don't like them. I find them useful and they don't look bad IMO. Pretty easy install. There is a bit of drilling involved.

I don't know about mudflaps on your Bimmer... How about clear paint protection film instead?

Good Idea; the paint protectant film.
Question: who has it to sell?
