Anyone have any of these tires?

Trying to decide between Bridgestone SO2 Pole Positions and Pirelli PZero.

How is the tire wear and the tire noise.

I think you should go with the Bridgestone S-02s. The S-02s will be quiter and have better grip, especially in the wet. You can check the tire tests at Tirerack (http://www.tirerack.com). The PZero 'Yellow' is older technology, and will make a good deal of texture noise when braking and depending on the roads. If I'm not mistaken, they debuted on the Ferrari F40 more than a decade ago. With that said, I believe they are discontinued now and are much cheaper now. The PZero Rosso 'Red' is Pirelli's new max performance tires. From the tests I've seen, it looks like the S-02s are still the better tire.

I've never had the Pirellis, but I just got the S-02's about a month ago. They feel stiffer and a bit louder than the Dunlop 8080E's that came with my car, but they also feel like they have better grip.

Don't even think twice about it the SO2 pp are the best tires out there, best combination of wet and dry grip I have ever seen, they are reasonably quiet and wear well. The only negative is they are not cheap, but then neither is your car! You can track them, you can do rainstorms, you can do about anything you want with these tires, and the tread pattern looks great on M3's. Go for it, you won't be sorry!

I too had the 8080e on my 99m3, so glad when they ran out because I got the pole positions. I spent a lot
of time choosing over Pzero Rosso, Pilot Sports, and S02. The S02s have better tread life, great wet
grip and because of the heat build up in the tires, phenomenal dry grip. The last time I priced so2's on
Tirerack (highly recommend using them) s02's were cheaper and instock compared to pilot sports and
Rosso's.

I live in midatlantic with aaaall kinds of weather and have found them to be the best. I am actually getting
the rears replaced and am sticking to pole positions..

Happy Motoring,

Tif.
