View Full Version : Which front tires are the Kumho owners using? ChicagoE38 05-19-2004, 07:13 PM Couldn't find a good match. Thanks! AutoPilot 05-23-2004, 11:49 AM Front Only? All four of my tires are the same size [Stock]. The size tires for my '97 E38 are 235/60-16 HR Speed Kumho $56ea for the Escta HP4 716 [All-Season] $56ea for the Escta KH11 [Grand Touring Summer] I did not like the 3 inch lettering even though the letters are black I thought they looked goofy [up close]. Those large brand name letters took away from the overall appearance. Yokohama has 2 all season/Highway $81ea for the Avid V4S. They VR Speed rated $88ea for the HR Rated H/T G033 [HighwayAll-Season] Michelins start at $118 and go to $149 for the VR Speed MXV4 Plus[HighwayAll-Season] timski 05-23-2004, 02:12 PM Chicago, I assume from those sizes that yours is a sport model. I found that the 235/50s for the front were harder to find and thus the "weak link" in buying a matched set. The 255/45s were available in many more brands and models. I didn't look at any Khumos when I was shopping, but you may well not find any that match that combo of sizes. Good luck. Tim ChicagoE38 05-23-2004, 06:17 PM Yeah, I've got the staggered 18" wheels off the sport and couldn't find a matching set of Kumhos, but I guess other Kumho users ran into that problem and use diff brands front and rear. Went with Michelin Pilots. Thanks! |
