I am having some very odd problems, I am making a service appointment but would hope someone here could help me diagnose the problem ahead of time...

After finishing school and practice today I walked out to my 2001 X5 3.0, everything seemed fine until I started her up.

After I started it up my emergency blinking lights turned on and started flashing. In addition the front over head lamps turned on(no doors were ajar) AND the radio/CD player although turned on didn't produce any sound, nor would they until I turned the radio off and back on again.

Everything else seemed normal until I got home and the car wouldn't lock. When I hit the lock botton the lights would flash but the locks wouldn't lock. Not until I hit the unlock button and then the lock button would they lock.

What the hell is going on with my car?
