onthe way to the in-laws yesterday I pulled past a late-80s 5.0 GT, 3 teenagers in the car. about a half mile up the road the lights turn, so I have to stop. well, he's been chasing me since i passed him and he now slips over beside me at the intersection. he starts revving and creeping, I just sit there. when the adjacent lights turn yellow, he revs up and holds (sort of) so I let the revs build to about 3 grand (he's in front of me about a half car, so he can't hear it). when the light goes i just freaking nail the launch and blow past him as he spins a bit. unfortunately he got his act together and caught me and pulled a little on me in third. he had an exhaust and and I'm not sure what else, but I think i did ok for a 170hp 2.5... now i need a CAI and exhaust.

yeah, yeah, I'll do that last probably, but its definitely on the slate. I just want to wait until the warranty runs so they won't give me any shit.

man those mustangs well at least my 91 was rated at 300 lbs of tq, which made them real difficult to launch. i would have escorts and fiestas pass me up when it was raining. but in my car third gear was the strongest but thats when 90mph crept up and after that it was hard to pick up into the 100's.

Intake voids your entire engine warranty... theoretically, if you suck a chipmunk up thru the intake and destroy the HFM, ASC, throttle body, numerous valves, pistons, cat and muffler ... it was essentially the fault of the filter.
Take it off before you go for service...
