Posting because there was some interest on the last poker thread. I'm hosting a charity poker tournament on June 4 in Vienna, VA. Buyin is $30, with $20 going to the prize pool and $10 going to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for Great Strides. If you're not into poker at all but you're feeling especially giving, you can make a donation through the website

If you have any questions or anything, get back at me at moore@gmoore.net.

Here's the email invite I sent out:

I'm hosting a No Limit Texas Hold'Em tournament on Friday, June 4th starting at 8pm. It will be held at my house at 604 KINGSLEY RD SW in VIENNA, VA.

This is a charity poker tournament. My cousin, Zoe, has cystic fibrosis, and
the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's annual fundraiser called Great Strides is held on
Saturday June 5. The proceeds from this tournament will go directly to the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

BUY-IN: $30. $20 goes to the prize pool and $10 goes to the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation. UNLIMITED REBUYS in the first hour of $20 + $5.

Also, to raise money, I'm soliciting local bars and restaurants to donate (or
subsidize) gift certificates. I'll be awarding these gift certificates in
place of cash for 3rd, 4th , and 5th place. For example 5th place might payout $30 in cash but that person would win a $40 gift certificate to such-and0such
Bar and Grill.

Payout structure (based on 30 players):
1st: 40% of prize pool in cash
2nd: 25% of prize pool in cash
3rd: 20% of prize pool in cash and prizes
4th: 10% of prize pool in cash and prizes
5th: 5% of prize pool in cash and prizes

The tournamnet is limited to 30 players. REGISTER NOW at:

You can register with your credit card online to reserve your spot. This method is preferable to registering a the time of the event.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email or call (571-241-7836). I
hope everyone gets in the tournament and supports a great cause. Forward this to any poker playing buddies you have.
