Go with boston pro's for half that price. The difference is there; but, not $500 noticeable.

Queenz -- I have SUBZZZZZ for sale ... interested, and I have boxes for Subzzzzz for sale!

Dang queenz ... did you eat paint chips when you were little?

a) 5.25 inch front components (e.g., that includes the midbass AND tweeters)

b) rears can be 4" or 6x9 -- if you get the brackets.

c) Brands for components: Focals, Boston Pro 5.5's, CDT's, MB Quart "Q" series, e.g., MB Quart QSD ones, etc.

Do you want the BEST, or do you have a budget? What are you trying to achieve, SPL or SQL? SQL - get rid of the 12" sub and get E36 JL audio stealthboxes. SPL -- get a good sub with good XMAX. I would recommend Elemental Designs, very cheap but awesome subs.

Crap, I have a kicker S12L7 solobaric (square) that I might be getting rid of ... that would shake the entire neighborhood provided you have at LEAST 500 watts RMS going into it.

It all depends on budget and what you want. I am upgrading my stereo system. This is what I "probably" will go with.

a) Alpine 7998 head unit (I have the alpine 7892 currently if you want that one)

b) 6.5 inch front components MB Quart QSD's ...

c) JL 300/2 -- or some variant thereof to power the front components.

d) JL 500/1 -- running a single 12" subwoofer. Haven't decided which one yet though (sub I mean).

I personally do not think you need rear fill if you get GOOD front components and have them staged correctly.

Chris Ochiaa? (spelling) is an excellent person to talk to. He is on www.eastcoastbmw.net and goes under the name cynicalawry.

I have almost that same exact setup if you are interested in hearing it. I met you at Proimports. My sub is a JL 10W7

No on mention Dynaudio. I prefer the natural sound of the dyns than the harsh tn41 tweet of the focal utopia setup.
