Well I finally broke them in and I have to say that I am impressed!! Anyone else have these? They grip very well and take the bumps quite well also, the side wall seems to be pretty stiff. I would have to say its all in all a recommended tire.

I had them on my 17's and I totally loved them. Their tread pattern was very effective in the wet. More so than the Yoko AVS Sports. The sports would hydroplane more. But now, I'm riding on Khumo Ecsta's on my 18's. The Toyos were just not available at the time. I regret it. The next tire that I'm planning on trying out is the Yoko Paradas.

Good to hear. I wish I saw these in the size I needed (255/35R18) before throwing my money at the 712s.

I'm currently running 225/40/18's all around. I'm not thrilled with the way that the tread pattern of the khumos make it look narrow. Next time, I'll at least go for something like 245's or even 255's in the rear. I mean, either this tire is very slippery, or my new kevlar clutch has some monster grip. I can spin my tires like crazy on a take off from stand still. I've heard too many good things about the paradas. I just hope that they make them in my preferred sizes.

Hell. . .even with the 255 rears, losing grip is a foregone conclusion. :mad:

I just looked up the yoko paradas on the tire rack site. It seems that the biggest size they come in are 225/40/18's. I'm gonna try them next time. They are only about $138 a piece; which means that I can get them for a little cheaper from somewhere else. But I do know that the Khumos come in the 255-35-18 sizes. Now the question is...do I really want to give up the tire saving procedure of rotating tires from front to back with staggered tires?

I'm running staggered. Funny, my car hardly understeers because the rear end has such poor traction. ( I only have the 712s in the rear).
