I know this has been a common problem with 3 and 5 series sport seats. I have a 5 series sport seat that now has a clicking noise. It is most apparent during quick starts and stops and turns. With today's style of driving is almost all the time.

I even feel the sensation of a part or a spring under the thigh area as the clicking occurs. Most boards and some threads account for this as a loose tension in the spring mechanism for the thigh extension of the seat. But there doesn't seem to be a consistent fix with most owners. Some live with it, some go to dealers repeatedly and some try DIY fixes.

Anyone with more thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
