I drove my gf to work this morning, so I took a different route.
I saw a black, late model Mercury Cougar behind me, but didn,t care about it. The guy passed me slowly, and I noticed a dark tint, modded dual exhausts (à la Mustang 5.0) and the V6 badge.
:devillook
I merged behind him, and sure enough, he downshifted and floored it.
So I downshifted into 4th (should've put it in 3rd, but hey... gotta give the no-win policy a shot!) and floored it. We were even for a few seconds, until I started reeling him in big time. Oh man, it wasn't even funny :embarrasm . His double fart-can was buzzing so hard, my fillings were shaking, yet I was about to search the contents of his trunk with authority.
He had to brake for some traffic, and I could see his car bouncing on the pavement's bumps. Given how I know the long, uphill right hander that's coming, I hoped he wouldn't try to pull away from me... but as soon as the Chevy 1500 pick up blocking him changed lanes, he tried it again.
Trying to power away from me, uphill, in the twisties, with a FWD car. Sure. :help
Again, I didn't even bother to shove it in third, and proceeded to intimidate his a$$ by easily inching closer to him, firmly planted, until I saw his car drift towards the guard rail, completely losing grip, so he had to let off. :evil2
He braked, changed lanes again to the right to take his exit. He didn't acknowledge me. I didn't care. :D
