Well I finally got busted for speeding, but the cop let me off. Now I have to go to court and have my turn signals and windshield signed off. Apparently my OE clears aren't good enough for fremont's police department. Anyone interested in a possible sale of their stockers or if worse comes to worse a trade?

I have a set of oe ambers, but since I'm selling the car I need them, although I can let you borrow the corners if sedan corners fit and all you need to do is get the ticket signed off.

Eric, I had amber bulbs, but he still said they were illegal without the amber reflectors. I need to call the court and set up a date to go there. I might try to fight the turn signals, but if it means that I don't get the speeding ticket taken away then I won't bother.

You need amber reflectors in the front and red in the rear.
Highly unlikely you will get out of the speeding ticket because you get the other ticket taken away.

what was the VC they sighted you for on the clear corners. I read that it only had to flash amber/yellow.

sr20: You DO NOT DO NOT have to have amber reflectors in the rear or the sides, SUPPOSEDLY you have to have a small amber refelctor in the front lens according to DOT or NHTSA, but nowhere in the California Vehicle Code does it say anything to the effect of having to have amber reflectors, so therefore they are enforcing a law they have no juristiction over, since state law does not require it, unless your county/city is writing their own vehicle ordinances. According to the CAlifornia Vehicle Code, it states that white or amber can used on the front, sides is a little murky in the CVC, however in the rear your turn signals must illuminate either amber/yellow or red. As for amber reflectors in the rear that means the cop is full of **** go to court.

Take a look a the California vehicle code regarding signal colors etc, I am little unclear about side markers being anything other than amber, but it doesn't say you HAVE to have amber, is my interpretation correct.

guess i'm going to take a detour everytime i go pass fremont...i ahve clears with amber bulbs too. I wonder why the cop was picking on you. Almost everyone has clears these days and almost half have white bulbs.
