I won't know until later this week. I am definitely down though assuming all "other" things work out.

Not planning to participate, but I'm planning on stopping by to learn more about future events. I'm a 'CCA member, but haven't actually ever been to an event.

I'll probably bring my infant daughter (she gets bored at home), so keep an eye out for the only guy with an infant stroller and a 325 touring.

I would have loved to do this event but I am in the process of breaking in my new engine. Yes, mine threw a rod when I was doing the event in March on the east track (Firebird). It happened in the straight away in third gear after only being on the track for 15mins of the first session. My day was shot early. Oil was all over the track and I got towed to the paddock. The dealer treated me like a king. I did not overrev the engine at all therefore, not my fault. The engine had a big hole in the side of it. The car was dropped of sunday morning and was done thursday afternoon. After $25,000 of free warranty repair, I was a happy man again!!! I got to keep a rod for a souvenir!!
I have had great luck with Chapman BMW. They know me by now and my service rep always takes good care of me. I never thought this would happen to me after only 12,000 miles on my engine. I now have 600 mile to go to break in the engine again. I will definitely be doing an event in June!!!
It is killing me not to go WOT!!!

Sorry for the long post
Patrick

ah man, that sucks....that's the first time i've heard of a s54 in an M-coupe blow up. ah well, at least u have a fresh new engine.

steelbluexit: haha, can u be peer pressured into participating in the AutoX? :) this will be my first event too (and i'm not even a SCCA or BMWCCA member....yet).

anyone else interested in going? to drive or just to hang out?

i'm gonna be running in group D....which 'should' get started around 11:30-12:00.

not sure if i'm gonna stay longer to do some time-only runs later in the afternoon.
