The light turs green and I feather the clutch at about 4500 rpm w/ dsc off and sport on and I get a good jump on him, then all of the sudden I hear a loud whine and he FLIES by as I'm shifting into 2nd. I was like, wtf? So I stay on it, and he keeps pulling on me (5-6 car lenghts) and now I'm in 4th and we hit the next light and I ask him what he had done to his car, and he said a turbo and tons of other stuff. I gave him props and drive away ashamed. :(

That sucked but next time I'll see how he'll do against my '04 E55!!!

Ouch, nice death. Nice cars though. Those E55s are monsters.

It happens, nothing to be ashamed of. I thought I was pretty cool at the drag strip with some friends in a supercharged Z3 running 11's, beating my buddy's Z06, etc.... and some guy in a primer gray early 90's Chevy S10 pick up was running 9's....

It's will be very hard to beat some of the turbo'ed/motorswapped Civic's out there. They can run high 11's to low 12's all day long because of their power to weight ratio. The way they are set up, they are professional dragsters. You probably won't do too much better in an E55 for the first 1/4 mile. Don't race these things from a standstill. You would be done a lot better on the freeway because your top end rules.

Nothing be embarrased about at all. At least the car had balls. I would say 9/10 around here are just part of the rice collection.

nothing to be ashamed of hehe, just remember the twisties, and besides, i usually dont get upset if i get beat off the line, i just say to myself, heh you dont have a dragster, you have a sports car meant for handling first, acceleration second. :) Then i go drive to Julian for some apple pie :) From San Diego that is its a sweet sweet drive!

I have a ton of respect for guys who do it right with their honda's. Just few have the knowledge to make their car great. Most of them just want to throw a cold air intake and a fart can exhaust on it and call it good. You are a great sport about it, That guy seemed like he deserved the props.

I revved on an incredibly ugly CRX once, and right when the opposing light turned yellow I heard... "pshooo..." Oh crap... was my first reaction. I had a jump and him then he just flew by. Sleepers suck. :(

if you ever come to dallas, just watch out for the turbo hondas here, plenty of very very fast ones

Yeah it sucks to lose to a car that looks like a piece of shit and goes like stink. But thanks for the compliment on cars. My evo can actually beat the me, it has full perrin turbo back, hks racing intake, jic headers, 2.3 liter stroker kit by toda, perrin large intercooler, cusco twin plate clutch, denso 720cc fuel injectors, wahbro fuel pump, hks sequential blowoff, hks earthing system, hks cams and cam gears, ralliart coilovers, work meister wheels(18x9), and pilot sport cups to match. I have never raced the E55 aganst the Evo but the evo should smoke it. I'll have to do that today and post the video later.

Rough dilemma you have...i say keep the germans. If you really want to buy a ferrari, I personally wouldn't get a stradale, too loud inside for daily stuff. What kind of job do you have, and where can I get one?

why is every one against the challenge stradale?

you cant bring the csl over here because it wont pass the crash test... something to do with either the front bumper or rear bumper... damn forget the stradale,m3,e55 and evo sell all of those and look for an Enzo and fix it up (like it needs to be.. haha) or a mclaren haha jp playin... yeah you got some nice cars there... the stradale is a great car but it is on the loud side. but who doesnt love to hear a beautiful exhaust note from a ferrari just that it is 5x louder...

That is a good idea LWRNCE, there is an enzo on ebay, and it is going relatively cheap compared to the other ones i've seen. I think that I might do it. The sport button makes the throttle more responsine, i can easily tell the difference, but maybe the one you were driving was alittle worn out.

well if you got the money ..... alright you wanna know how fast this car is just think of it this way... if you race a lets say a yamaha R1 hayabusa (street bike) you would probly hang with it if not beat it... that is crazy fast man... you can just give me the M haha... but yeah the enzo is an extremely fast car you wont have to worry about those turbo/super charged ricers blowin fartcan smoke on your car.

OMG people I have never witnessed such animosity against acura/hondas in auto message forum in my life. I've owned hondas and now bought a Bimmer for daily driving and for a more luxurious ride. So much hatred ,so much anger, and so much fear. Just accept it guys ...sheeesh.

A car is a car. And if you a had a fast bimmer that's fast enough to beat a higher class sports car like these hondas are doing well then your just as bad as u say they are.
