I am looking to buy the Clarion ProAudio DXZ645MP off of Crutchfield.com and I am pretty sure that I need the Euro/Ford Antenna Adapter (that is what it is called on their site) and the wiring harness, but what else if anything do i need, and what problems can i expect to face when installing myself? I have a 1999 M3 coupe with the HK sound system. Thanks in advance for the help.

Install is simple as can be. Make sure you get the harness adapter so its just plug and play. The HK system can accomadate any new HU and will sound like a whole new system. I suggest Alpine's units with MP3 and time correction processing. It works really well in our cars. they also color match perfectly with the amber lights.

can't go wrong with those alpines. if you need help, a lot of smaller local shops will help rather than big chains. it's against their "policy".

new decks don't work with old m-bus changers. old decks (oem) work with new Ai-bus changers using an adapter. if you need a new HU, then you'll need a new changer also.

been there, done that. now I'm running the 7984 and AiNet 6disc changer. its like the modern oem setup b/c everything just fits right up to the oem mounting points.

I am not concerned with the CD changer, I won't have any use for it after I get my MP3 player. I will probably sell it on ebay i guess. I am just lookin for an affordable, yet good mp3 player, with lights that match the other interior lights on the bimmer.

I am not really sure what I have to do to hook it up to the factory amp. I am guessing all i have to do is get the antenna adapter and wiring harness but i am not sure. Someone please help me out here so i know what I need to buy.

you need nothing besides the harness adapter to use the stock amp. bmw uses the speaker leads from the HU to get signal to the amp. no RCA connections needed or used.
