Anyone in North County SD take a look at the 645 in the showroom?

I was in there last night picking up a filter, in a mad rush, and noticed this beast. I have already seen it close up, so I didn't drool over this one per se.

However, when I was at the cashiers, I looked more closely at the grill, and noticed what appears unmistakeably as an intercooler. Does that Schnitzered monster also have a Turbo ??!?

The guys at the parts counter were trying to close down. They told me that they actually never noticed what I was asking about. They looked genuinely intrigued...

Can someone verify or deny?

I think that's just the radiator because I've seen the new 645i at Irvine BMW up close and it doesn't look like an intercooler up close...I highly doubt it has a supercharger or turbo

Damn, if that's the radiator, it is sitting pretty damn low...

yes, take a second look.

because:

My mom's, friend's, sister just spent 85K on some type of NEW 645i Turbo?

Sure this is my mom telling me this, but she does know a bit about cars...

It was bought in cali. and is still in that state as far as i know.

I am VERY interseted to see if this car is really out there!

There is no turbo. On both the new 5-series and 6-series the condensor/radiator sits very low and looks like an intercooler but it's not. Your friends mom is full of it. :)

a dealer would not put a turbo on a new car to sell. it would void the warranty.... And you're prolly just seeing the radiator since there is no fan in front of it.

I thought that was an intercooler the first couple times I saw pics of the 645... it's the radiator. E60 kinda looks like that too...

uMF uMF! :evil2

OK, so the final verdict is, the 645 has a massive radiator and what appears to be a small oil cooler, or just the air conditioning condenser down near the bottom. While there is a GRIP of room in that front for an intercooler, that 645 in the showroom is not turbo.
