Hey i was told that the stock 325 ix ( 89 ) has a stock alpine amp and alpine speakers and in order to put a new head unit in i would hafto rewire it all .. is this true?
I was under the impression I would only hafta rewire teh shit if i was replacing the amp ?

If all you're going to do is replace the stock HU with an aftermarket HU and keep all of the other components, you wouldn't have to rewire the car. You'll most likely need a harness to hook into the exisitng wiring.

If you don't want to DIY, most good shops would do the installation on a HU for about $40-50. If there is a Tweeter Etc. in your area, you might want to talk to them.
