Hey guys, Jbob and i were just discussing how it would be cool for all of us to have some sort of E21 group/club/clan decal on our rear quarter windows for Bimmerfest, and to show our elite group on the road.


I have a guy here in AZ that can make these up super cheap and would be way under $5 a person for 2 decals.

i am thinking of something similar to what the forums do for thier logos, but for just us special E21'ers

Ideas: (and please post up other ideas and interest as i will need to call the guy soon to ahve them ready for the show.)

Pro's/Con's:

BimmerBoys, although cool due to being Nic's (and some e30 dude's) site, sorta sounds a bit Ricey to me. I love it for the site, but for a bunch of old school BMW car people....boys doesn't sound right. (again I ~DO~ love it for the site Nic....no offense meant!)

E21 Legion sounds like the best option to me. I like the old military reference, but that's me. It also makes us sound pretty big....which we COULD be. Between all the e21 registries out there we could get a fairly big group going. I personally like this one best, and will start workign on some sort of logo (in an attempt to get it more votes than any other idea....)

I know I like West Coast more (than the others from above NOT mentioned) due to me being ON the coast, and that doesn't apply to all of us. As much as ~I~ like it, I can see the con of having it on ALL of our cars.

I too like the "E21 Legion" idea. And I too will work on a logo for it. Even though I'm probably not going (insert sighs here) I think it is a cool idea for you guys to get decals. I might want to scam one.

Yeh, some sort of a decal would be cool, so far it's just text unless we can get something cool made up to go along with it.+

Yup, I was thinking text in a font worthy of a "Legion".....whatever the hell that looks like. I was just gonna do some searching on the web and find something.

So, we could start this with the following regions:
SW
PNW (Pacfic N-West)
MW
Canada
Europe
Asia
Down Under

And the east coaster's can chime in with how THEY want to divided up....if at all. Are there any other places that we have people registered from on any of the lists? (not for Bimmerfest, for e21 stuff)

lets just concentrate on the Bimmerfest one at hand first. this needs to get to the decal man as soon as feasible.

I like the Southwest E21 and teh E21 legion. I too was thinking of something for all of us, but my idea was a euro plate, a bit more. Let me know what goes down I can send funds.

LOL, I made a sticker a while back it was dubbed " 1st Gen E21". But your ideas sound cool.
Although the Roundel looks a little off, I think it should have another circle surronding it to make it more in place...

i know you guys are trying to work on something for the fest. but i think it would be cool if we could have something that all of us true e21 fans could sport on our quarter windows. i would support out here on the east coast!!!

Well, that was sorta my point, to tie us ALL together. But as Bimmerfest is so close, we'll work on THAT as the main priority, then get all the other regions/stickers done.

Anyway, here are some samples of fonts that I've got, no Roundel. The font name is after the example, with an "I" if it is itallisized (sp?). But I'm thinking I like your font better. But at least these are some other ideas....

That will be fine for the fest, Katie hant had time to work this since she has alot of work to do for school. I think every1 will be two so there will be 10-11 E21's something like 20-22. I will ask Katie tho to work on something for us after she has some time. :redspot

Ok, just talked to my sticker man, and it's going to be $1.50 for each sticker, so $3.00 for a pair.

I chose the color "Metallic Silver", i think thats the color BFC uses, and it's the color that DTM uses for thiers. I PM'd both Mdabney(here) and Dado(dtm) regarding the font's they used and the size.

Any suggestions on the font and size?

BUMP .. i got the font and size, but it's not a Windows font, so we would have to buy it.. so i will find something very similar.

I got them made to say SouthWest E21 Legion, but all you need to do is cut out the SW part. this would be easier for me, that way, he's not making two diff. batches. i know jbob and i want them to say SW on them.

I got 22 made. color is Metallic Silver approx. 8 inches in length/ 1 inch high

I like the idea of a sticker, but SouthWest kinda makes me think of the Airline. If it's not to late to add my 2 cents, check out this suggestion....

yeah it's a little too late for this batch. Theyre cheap, we can have others made up. like i said before, you can omit the SW part if you want.

Are those a specific font? for decals to be made, they have to be a font .
