This happened a little while back, but it was so awesome. I was cruising down the 101N when I saw an E36 Estoril Blue M3 get on the freeway. I kinda sped up a bit because I loved mine and this one looked a little modded. He saw me coming and slowed down. Once we got neck and neck he looked over and we both took off. He walked me like I was driving a friggin' Corolla. He let me pass, let me get about 4 car lengths in front, and then gunned it again. He caught up with me withing seconds. I was really impressed. Luckily we got off at the same exit and I got a chance to ask what he had in that beast. He had an ActiveAutowerks blower, tuning, the whole 9 yards. It was really nice. Anyhow, does anyone know who that is?

Well,

I think I know exactly who you are talking about...

However, I'm not sure that it is an Active Autowerks blower. The only one who could smoke you like that is Geoff or GMAT, the fine moderator of our beloved southwest section. He drives an estoril blue e36 w/ the RMS Stg III kit. 360 rwhp in 98 degree heat....

The only other blown E36 m3 i know of is dakar yellow w/ the AA stg III turbo kit...

If that wasn't geoff though...could it be that there is another boosted estoril blue m3? :evil2

Hmmm, it might be likely. This guy specifically said that it was an AA blower. That is what caught my interest. He said his friend worked for them and he specifically did the computer tuning and everything for it. It will be interesting to see what happens with the E46 AA blower. In my latest Car and Driver there is an article about the blown Superfast RMS M5. 605 Hp!!!!! holy cow! That is crazy! It is a good thing that it is a heavy car or it would burn tires through 4th! It looks pretty sweet though. I am not a huge M5 person, but I do give them tons of respect.

Interesting.

Well if it wasn't Geoff then it's awesome to know that there is another modified E36 M3 out there here in Arizona.

Of course, it only adds to the fact that now we have to pick our E36 M3 battles that much more carefully....

Did the Estoril car have stock suspension and wheels? :stickoutt

How do you know the Dakar M3 has the Stage III kit Chris?

No means to hijack the thread, but I was in a car alignment shop today and met this guy in his 20s bragging about his yellow gt2... his name is josh and he brag about he spends 100Gs on the car (which he owns for in merely 5 months) and like with 780hp and doing 1/4 mile in 11.2, first I was intrigue that he likes my m3 and stuff... but then he goes on and on about his gt2 and tell me how i should modify my car, hes a special character... I ignore him the most time at the end and bolt outa there fast...

heard him through his cell phone converse (freaking loud) that he stops by pavillion with his friends that has f40, modena, dinan supercharge e46 m3s ... wonder if anyone recognized this special someone? I get the whole scoop on this guy on ot later

Ok, assuming we're talking about the same person, who I'm sure we are...

This guy is a fucktard. That "GT2" of his is actually a 996 TT with a GT2 body kit on it. He replaced the emblems. Let me guess...he had red calipers didn't he? That would be a dead give away to be a 996TT.

I'm done talking about him. He's a fucking idiot and doesn't know anything about cars in general.

This is aggravating the hell out of me to just talk about him.

I am going to go break something.

Bye!

Didn't he have his Mommy with him a few weeks ago? :nono

Hah! Is this the same yellow "GT2" with the yellow sticker on the back window? Young guy, kinda dark drives it?

I saw this car on Mill Ave yesterday. Spotted it up ahead, thought "sweet, a GT2". Got alittle annoyed when I noticed it was parked in a No Parking zone. Kept walking, saw the guy and his friend come out, looked maybe late teens early 20s. Got even more annoyed.

Redeemed quite a bit when I saw him take the parking ticket off the front of the car. Even MORE redeemed when he got into it, revved it, and heard a really loud clanking coming from the back. He revved it again, same really loud clank. He and his buddy get out of the car, walk to the back to poke at the engine. They stand there for a moment looking confused and the driver gets on his cell phone.

I was entertained

Haha yeah that was me. You must have mis-heard me, I said RMS, not AA. Anyway, as for the 'friend' working for them, what I said is that my friend did my software. (www.techniquetuning.com). You had a silver e46m3 with a lady that worked for EVO in the passenger seat right? That was fun, I hardly ever find people to race.

Considering how fast your car is Geoff, I'm not sure it's easy to tell who's racing and who's just trying to keep up. :eyecrazy: :buttrock

I think you should come to the dyno day just to get on there and deafen us with your "TSE" exhaust... :evil2 :devillook
