I guess that every since I have gotten the car there has been a bit of lag between when I press the door unlock on the keys as well as the trunk unlock. My keys only seem to have a range of like 5ft, as well as when I do press them it takes about 2-4 seconds for the locks to unlock and it sometimes takes multiple presses to get the passanger door to unlock as well. In addition to this, when trying to open the trunk with the keyless entry it takes the thing like 4-6 seconds to process between pushing the button and the actuall thing opening.

Maybe its just me being anal retentive, but does anyone else have this problem and find it as annoying as I do?

maybe weak battery on the remote?

I've got a slight lag, but nothing like what you describe.
The most noticable lag I see is with the trunk, and I'd say that's less than a second.

I guess it could be the battery, but that doesn't sound quite right to me. It's apparently getting the signal, but just taking a while to respond. If you said you had to push it a few times to get it to work, I might look more closely at the battery. I'm guessing it's something internal, but I have no idea what would cause a delay.

My range seems to vary. Sometimes I can get it to work from 100 feet, and other times I have to be right on top of it. That variation is probably because of variations in my hand position, angle to the car etc.
