I have a set of four 255/35/18 Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires. They are about one year old. The fronts have some decent tread left, about 20%. The rears are at about 10%. They have been rotated and the wear is even with no cupping or chunking. They have been tracked, hard, repeatedly. If anyone wants them, PM me. Otherwise, they'll hit the dumpster within the next few days . . .

Cool. They'll be ready in a week or so, or sooner if you want to pay to have them removed from the rims.

Let me know.

Garrett-

Just curious, why the change from the Neros, are you going to a different manufacturer or just a different type of tire? Or just too bald for your usage? I remember talking to you at Summit and seeing how evenly worn those Neros were-as you said, they weren't chunked or shredded.

Read many good reviews on them and how favorably they compare against the S-03.

I still love the tire. I just bought a new set. I'm kinda pissed, though. The Z-rated version was only $150 a pop for the 255/35/18. After they sucked people in at that price, they discontinued the Z-rated version. Now, only the $185 Y-rated version is available. I'm sure they are the EXACT same tire.

I put a hurtin' on those tires. They still look great, but I think the rubber has seen a few too many heat cycles. The last time I was at Summit, they screamed for mercy in every corner and finally gave up the ghost by the last two sessions. They just could not take it anymore. Track grip sucked. They are still fine for the street. Of course, this is after about 20k miles and maybe 5 track events. Its kind of amazing they still look so "youthful" and intact. Great tire.

I'm gonna put P-Zero Corsa's or shaved and cycled Nero's on my SSR Comps and make that an exclusive track set-up. I just got a set of ASA AR1's w/ Nero's for the street. I could have gone through the hassle of swapping the old Nero's from my Comps onto the AR1's, but its just so much easier to get a mounted/balanced package from Tire rack and put them on yourself, especially when the old Nero's are near done anyway.

Garrett-

You have a well thought out car in terms of performance mods! :clap

I like the way you allow yourself to indulge in styling mods (like the Reiger stuff and the crystal rears), but not be so wrapped up in it that you don't truly enjoy all aspects of the car like tracking. Very cool and very RARE. Either cars are completely looks and never driven other than to show off or the car is ragged and sees nothing but autox or track. Great to see someone doing both.

BTW... I WANT YOUR COBRA MISANOS!!!!! :D

Greek - Next event is 5/7.

Jed - Thanks man. I don't see the "bling" and the "zing" as being mutually exclusive. To me, that's the great thing about these cars, the e36 in particular. So multi-faceted. :)

OE coupe wing.

I got the P-Zero Corsa's mounted today. Damn those suckers are WIDE. Same "size" as the Nero's 255/35, but they look like they have to be at least 10mm wider. Its a VERY tight fit, but fits. Went for a quick spin with them and the handling is almost boring because it sticks so well. Can't wait to get to Summit on the 11th . . . woohoo! :alright
