tabasco 04-13-2004, 08:38 PM if only it didnt rain as much...
In the 9 days I was there...it did not rain a single drop. How odd is that???
fortysix 04-13-2004, 08:43 PM That's got to be some sort of record...
Nice pics though.
325Driver 04-13-2004, 11:06 PM Indeed, cool pics, Seattle is a fun city.
zeit00 04-14-2004, 09:14 AM Na.. Never have been to Seattle.. My name is from 2 references..
1. Noise group that I was a part of. Called ZeitGeist
2. A group called Tangerine Dream (new age) did an album called zeit. Ambient tracks using no electrical devices.
Scott528iM 04-14-2004, 10:07 AM Been twice...great city. Rainer is a majestic site for sure. I'm headed to Vancouver this Friday for a week (thank you work!) so I'm really looking forward to some nice scenery.
Ron17 04-14-2004, 10:33 AM Gorgeous.
I WILL visit there one day.

nice pix. you can actually see the building where I live in one of your pix, and 3 buildings that I have been involved in building over the last 5 years.
any of y'all can call me if you are ever coming up and crash on my floor . . .except Ron. :stickoutt
Ron17 04-14-2004, 12:52 PM (That's cuz Zach already said he'd sleep on the floor and I can have his bed if I ever come up.)
VANCE 04-14-2004, 01:05 PM looks like a beutiful place.noticed 2 things..
1.weird architecture
2.that's a bigass crane
///MZG 04-14-2004, 01:47 PM we have some very unique architetecture here. The Space Needle and the area around it (Seattle Center) are very different to say the least. The angular glass and steel building is the new central library, set to open next month.
Those cranes are big!!! They are used to unload containers from cargo ships. There are about 12 of them total.
tabasco 04-14-2004, 02:33 PM Yes...it was a beautiful city.
Ron...I saw a guy driving a Daytona Violet M3 while I was there. I was also driving...and my camera was in the back seat...so I could not snap a photo.
The architechure there is crazy. That all glass funky lookin' building is the library downtown.
The 3 big cranes are actually larger than all the others there. In fact...that trio is currently the largest gantry cranes in the world. They were assembled in Asia and shipped over on a custom ship in one piece! It is a sight to see!
All in all...great trip, great city, great beer (I wish we could get Fat Tire here in GA), great friends, great weather. Definately going back!

tabasco 04-15-2004, 09:50 AM Did you see Chris Cornell or Eddie Vedder while you were up there?
Yeah...the 3 of us had lunch and toured the Jimmy Hendrix Experience.
Then I crawled half way up the space needle and cut it off with a hand saw. It fell over and stabbed Sratchy in the eye!

I love Fat Tire too. That beer makes my trips to Colorado even more special. I think I am correct in saying that House Bill 645, to redefine the term "malt beverage", and allow higher alcohol content," was sent to the governor on 4/8/04. It has not been signed into law and has not been vetoed by the governor. This legislation will allow us to enjoy many beers formerly banned in Georgia. I can't wait!

that's it, I'm not moving there.
Ron17 04-15-2004, 11:38 AM They just introduced legislation that allows for beer up to 14% now, so we're good.

not until it's signed in . . .
Ron17 04-15-2004, 11:44 AM By "introduced," I mean "went into affect."
At least... I think it has.

If the governor does not veto the legislation within a certain period of time, it becomes law. I don't know how long we would have to wait if he does not sign it. Everyone call him and tell him to sign the damn thing.
