After washing my car yesterday, i noticed a few clear specks on the paint of the hood. One or two seemed to just wiped off, others wouldn't. Any idea what these might be?

After washing my car yesterday, i noticed a few clear specks on the paint of the hood. One or two seemed to just wiped off, others wouldn't. Any idea what these might be?

waterspots

yeah waterspots, there are a couple of ways to get rid of them. Try a clay bar or even some vinigar on a rag can help.... There are some helpfull posts on this somewhere around here.

Actually, it could be because it's raised. I probably need to give it a good cleaning.

Yep i'm betting on sap. It can be a PITA to removes sometimes and often once you have it's damaged the paint underneath. Try claying like was mentioned. You can buy the Mothers or Clay Magic bars at PepBoys. Best of luck.
