Do you have pictures from another angle? The shadows and reflections are making it look better than it might look in person. I was invited to a party to see the first one at a dealer here in Atlanta on the 24th.

Unfortunately, the new 7 is butt ugly, and that kind of goes against the will to purchase one. Furthermore, the target buyer really doesn't have the patience to deal with the rather esoteric iDrive controller.
I was recently at the Philadelphia Auto Show, and the new 7 really looked out of place alongside its brethren. However, what was more interesting were the hordes of people gathered around the car. Actually, the multitude of people around the 7 was greater than any other car including the Murcielago.
From its ridiculous trunk line, to its amorphous non-athletic door panels, to its strange signals-above-the-headlights configuration, the new 7 is a too revolutionary design for my tastes. I think I'll just pray that Bangle's influence fails to infiltrate BMW design any further, and that the M coupe successor Z5 will be sexy.

It actually doesn't look bad in that pic although the way you change gears would annoy me, reminds me too much of an american car.
