Question for the pros.
I have had both hoses replaced in the last 10K miles, yet once again I have a leak from the bottom.
This one appears to be in the area of the sterring box or the pump, I will crawl under tomorrow, but I am curious if anyone has experienced anything like this. I am hoping its just a loose connection. But has anyone seen bigger problems at the box, or pump?

I cant believe what pain the power steering has become on this car.

thanks

If it isn't your hoses, and not the connection where the hoses are fed from the pump or reservoir...then it is the box. The box, new, is enormously expensive. I found a used one from a totaled seven in Canada, and had my dealer install it. The steering box has a pinion seal.....when it leaks it cannot be repaired...you just need to replace the box. In addition to the cost of the box, you are looking at about 5 hours of labor. This one was one of my less favorite things to have repaired. Mine went at about 120k miles. Good luck.
