JAlfredPrufrock 04-08-2004, 06:43 PM I would not go ruin a new set of springs by cutting them... just my $.02
AdotOdot4 04-08-2004, 07:14 PM though it does look better with the PS'd drop.

blitzed310 04-08-2004, 07:20 PM Do Not Cut The Springs! Repeat... Do Not Cut The Springs! :nono
Yonkers320is 04-08-2004, 10:44 PM let them settle first, after a couple days they will lower a little bit more. you could add a 10mm spacer to bring the rear closer to the fender lip.
Do you have a picture of how the rear shocks went together?????
hehehe....yeah, cut springs (especially in the rear) make the car squat A LOT on acceleration....right nic?? :D
but yeah, u'll want a stiffer spring rate if you wanna lower the car (so the car doesn't squat, lean, or dive & bottom out)
also, do u have the fenders rolled to squeeze the 215 size tires on??
BMWPower.lv 04-10-2004, 03:45 AM also, do u have the fenders rolled to squeeze the 215 size tires on??
This i did'nt understand...
rolled fenders?
on most every stock car there's that little lip from the fender (that is always pointing towards the middle of the car) along the edge of the wheel well. 'rolling the fenders' is when you push that lip so that it's pointing up...which allows you to use wider tires/wheels.
here's a pic of that 'fender lip' (within that green circle...altho the lip goes around the whole wheel arch) that i'm talking about:
Yonkers320is 04-10-2004, 11:39 PM those tires look kind of worn Jason.... a little to aggressive on the go pedal? J/k
haha, just a little :D no j/k.....last summer's heat (150-200 degree asphalt) ate my tires for breakfast when i had to commute accross town to my summer internship (i drove about 6k miles over 3 months). in that pic, the tires are only 12 months new. lol, and those sumi HTR 200's have a 380 treawear rating (w/ A's for both traction & temp)...just goes to show heat kills.
Yonkers320is 04-11-2004, 11:52 AM 200 degree asphalt? how hot does it get in AZ? If we get to 90 we are cooking in NY. Although in December when I went back home the temp. was in the 120 degree range (first day was 41 degree celsius)
BMWPower.lv 04-12-2004, 05:56 PM Hey guys, it looks, i'll upgrade my wheels in few weeks on keskin kt4, but thouse will give my friend.
Question about ET.
What you think about such sizes:
16X9, 4x100, ET 25 (rear)
16x7,5, 4x100, ET 20 (front)
Rear will fit, its clear, bet how about front?
There they are
