In the picture you can see a small bump or ridge has formed from a small dent in the corner of the car. Although, it doesn't look too bad, I'd rather get it fixed. Is it possible to push this ridge back in cheaply? Like using paintless dent? Or is it gonna cost me more than it is worth?
Thanks.

Don't think so. That's on the plastic rear spoiler right? If so, you're SOL. Metal's a different story; the paintless dent guys are really wizards there. I'm going to go see mine here in an hour to see if he can do anything about the dent in the leading edge of the hood that a hit-and-run driver was nice enough to leave me.

Hey,
I went to see my paintless dent guy today. He said that I should just take a hair dryer to it until its hot to the touch (like leaving the car out on a hot day), then to just lightly press it in and it might pop back into its orginal form. Should I try this, or is there any dangers to this?
Thanks.

You can try, the worst thing that might happen is that you'll have the paint come off. Without feeling it I can't say if you've got a paint issue or an ABS plastic issue. Any idea how it got there? If you're prepared to repaint that entire area, then go ahead and try - if it's a ridge in the ABS, there's probally nothing you can do short of stripping it off, sanding it flat and repainting.

How it got there - I'm not sure as it was there before I bought the car. There's a slight impression on the corner of the car (somebody backing into it at a parking lot... The ridge must have been created from the bumper buckling from the force. There's no paint damage, I'm not sure it's worth the risk to heat it up and press it in. It's hardly noticeable now, don't know if I want to make the situation any worse. Wouldn't want to pay the 300 bucks it'll probably cost to have it reformed, sanded and repainted.
I'll keep you updated in case I decide to do it anyways.
Thanks.

Take off the bumper and do it from the inside with heat.

Hmm.. sounds like a good idea. And it'll give me a chance to break open the Bentley manual for the first time even though its probably like 6 bolts.
I'll get back to you as soon as I get a chance to do it, hopefully soon. Have to get some Easter Dinners out of the way first.
Thanks.
