Who ever made those videos is pretty good. Robot looks very real. It was the night test that gave it away for me.

it is real, i has been in development since 98 with help from BMW, but the guy has been developing the arms and legs since the 70s....... if you listen closely, you can hear the minis engine running when the robot moves.

Maybe the arms are real and in development but I can say that the whole robot is not real. Look at the car stopping test A big ass robot cant move that fluidly like that (if they did we would be in a world of shit and the military would have this, and we would not be seeing this on the internet, I can assure you)

CGI most definately. Look at how the suspension does not change at all during the "car stop" vid. The car is braking.

I don't know, maybe..... but I'll take my chances and believe its real. Call me addicted to japanimation.....

Of course its CG. The best roboticists in the world havent been able to make any robot move that fluidly, much less a bipedal one.

It's fake. Compare the arm test to the car stopping clip. The arm moves in a very preprogrammed type movement in the dext test. But in the car stopping thing everything is VERY fluid. The robots on vehicle assembly lines (like BMW's) don't move that way yet. Granted they aren't SUPPOSE to either yet, but....

And es I know there were 5 years between those clips, but I doubt they went THAT far without some SERIOUS funding from somewhere.
