View Full Version : is not an E21, but is based on a BMW Yonkers320is 04-06-2004, 09:33 PM remember ROBOTECH? http://www.r50rd.co.uk/research/internal/v2i/engin/ LOOK AT THE VIDEO OF THE CAR AdotOdot4 04-06-2004, 09:50 PM WOW :ak i want more -ao TheNeek 04-06-2004, 11:47 PM Who ever made those videos is pretty good. Robot looks very real. It was the night test that gave it away for me. jbob 04-07-2004, 12:19 AM ahh, my stupid computer won't play the vids :( but that one pic looked awesome! MattE21 04-07-2004, 11:21 AM that can't be real! Yonkers320is 04-07-2004, 12:27 PM it is real, i has been in development since 98 with help from BMW, but the guy has been developing the arms and legs since the 70s....... if you listen closely, you can hear the minis engine running when the robot moves. blitzed310 04-07-2004, 12:35 PM Maybe the arms are real and in development but I can say that the whole robot is not real. Look at the car stopping test A big ass robot cant move that fluidly like that (if they did we would be in a world of shit and the military would have this, and we would not be seeing this on the internet, I can assure you) I hope its fake or I just looked like an ass :devillook RDAvena 04-07-2004, 01:40 PM oh wait a minute let me look for it... :bs: CGI most definately. Look at how the suspension does not change at all during the "car stop" vid. The car is braking. Yonkers320is 04-07-2004, 02:49 PM I don't know, maybe..... but I'll take my chances and believe its real. Call me addicted to japanimation..... Yonkers320is 04-07-2004, 03:12 PM Now I know its real. Now take a look at this: http://www.tokyodv.com/news/SonyQrioMartinez.html MattE21 04-07-2004, 03:19 PM those are small.. the other one's 8 feet tall! blitzed310 04-08-2004, 12:30 AM No way, totally fake CGI no dought kyussVonSextron 04-08-2004, 01:53 PM Of course its CG. The best roboticists in the world havent been able to make any robot move that fluidly, much less a bipedal one. uberpanzer 04-16-2004, 11:10 AM (back from the bottom, I know, but I was without the net since the 1st) It's fake. Compare the arm test to the car stopping clip. The arm moves in a very preprogrammed type movement in the dext test. But in the car stopping thing everything is VERY fluid. The robots on vehicle assembly lines (like BMW's) don't move that way yet. Granted they aren't SUPPOSE to either yet, but.... And es I know there were 5 years between those clips, but I doubt they went THAT far without some SERIOUS funding from somewhere. |
