I want to go to a local dealer sometime soon to test drive one. Just wondering do you have to baby the car? Or can you really drive it. I would like to see what the car can do. Dealer said all 2001 allocations are gone, and they will take deposits for 2002 allocations this summer. I cant wait! :D

Wow! I bet that was a thrill driving a car soooo many people are willing to kill to get their hands on. I'll bet you had a hard time wiping the smile off your face!

My dealer is letting people on the list with a deposit in place take the car out. I've taken it twice already and the salesman allows me to go alone and for pretty much as long as I like. I am currently #1 on both the Coupe and Cab lists at the dealer and should have a car within 30 - 90 days depending on allocations.

The car is softer than my 993 (I prefer a more visceral ride) but is a tremendous performer. I had the opportunity to give it a pretty good workout (within reason, of course).

It should have every review of the E46 M3 to date...almost 50 megs worth. The site is getting something like 6000+ hits per month...its carazy (no typo)!

I try to keep the content fresh and couldn't do it without the help of all the people that take the time to send me stuff...

I took one home for the night, and took it on twisties, and all sorts of roads...This thing is unbelievable! Fastest revving car I've ever driven. Brakes take a bit getting used to as well. I got back and seriously got depressed knowing the difference between this car and my 95 M3.
The car was WAY quicker than the 6sp 996, and BMW M5. It's more comparable to a Z06 once the revs get up. Does not feel like a big car at all. Took it up to 130mph on a canyon road and it was effortless. The car needs more tire though! Way too easy to break loose everywhere!

just passed 1,200 miles, it is a beast. I am very impressed with it and will be selling my car soon :D

Don't get me wrong, I still love the my E36 M3 but it is time for a new project.
