Joe hal9000 03-30-2004, 11:53 PM Has anyone had any experiences, good or bad, with Liquid Glass or the Race Glaze products?? LG's doesn't do that great in the longevity. After about 4-5 weeks, there's a quick fall off of beading, slickness and shine. Reflectivity dropped markedly after about 3 weeks. Z, WG and P21S all did better for less hassle. Never used RG - heck never heard of it. I am currently using Race Glaze (Leveler and Polish/Sealant) and I am *very* happy with the results. I bought it locally through a professional body shop contact. It must be used with a circular polisher, but the results are long lasting and quicker to achieve than Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Professional products (#2 Fine-Cut Cleaner, #9 Swirl Remover). It doesn't take a lot of product to do a great job either. I also own a Porter Cable 7242, but have not tried it with the Race Glaze yet. I have used Race Glaze on white cars as well as black cars. Darker colours obviously take more time and care to do compared to lighter coloured ones but the results are similar - deep gloss, excellent application, long lasting, and easy removal. Prior to using Race Glaze, I really like using Zaino. However, I find Zaino generally does not last as long as the Race Glaze. Priscoj 04-02-2004, 12:28 AM I used LG for years, and the finished product is VERY impressive. Hal is right though, there is a rather fast dropoff. It goes from being the slickest, deepest shine to "ehh, i think I need to do it again" faster than I would like. Considering how long it friggen takes to do, I usually just don't do it again |
