Ok, I was all set on doing the AIO/SG/S100 1-2-3 punch until I read of a few people's issues on some other detailing sites. They said that on solid colors, this technique works great adding shine and depth. But on metallics, a few people said the last step of adding the carnuba wax on the sealant for depth seemed to lessen the radiance of the metal flake or metallic effect. They said the depth seemed improved, but that depth compromised the metallic effect. Any thoughts by those that have done this to their metallics??

I've got Cosmos Black paint and I use both AIO/SG and S100 (S100 during summer months, AIO/SG in the fall for a pre-winter setup). The difference in shine isn't very big, and I can promise you that 99/100 people won't be able to tell a difference either way. The S100 does seem to leave a warmer deeper shine, and I haven't noticed any reduced metallic effects, but I don't ever layer the two. My suggestion would be to do half your hood with AIO/SG/S100 and half with ust AIO/SG, see which shine you like better, and ramble on from there. :D

Either way, I doubt you'll be disappointed in the shine, and detailing is all about trying different setups and seeing which ones you like best.

Good luck.
