Anyone had installed it on an E46 M3? Did your installer tell you the clutch disk is very loose when it fit on the spline shaft? I really need some input on this issue. Thanks in advance.

DUDE... how many times are you going to ask this same question?? That is normal.. Have your installer install the clutch and it will be fine.. My clutch on the spine was the same way, my guy had a concern with it, talked to rob and said it was fine.. Give it up with this worrysome questioning.. ITS NORMAL and your posts are getting annoying.. if you don't like it then return it, but i think you are going to feel pretty embarrassed 1 month after you install it to find out you worried for nothing.. INSTALL IT.. I have it and so do many others.. INSTALL IT... Enough is enough... for god sakes... What other answers are you looking for???? I am running the UUC flywheel with stock clutch at the moment. Sure I want to install the clutch, but my installer keep telling me that it will damage the spline shaft. He said it was too loose not slightly loose what Rob told me. So it makes me worry. jajja 03-27-2004, 11:40 PM I didn't install the UUC clutch at the first time. I am running the clutch and flywheel... so who you goign to trust, the guy that engineered the part or the guy that says he's a expert installer?? trust Intel or the computer repair guy down the street?? You don't have to read the post if you don't want to. He obviously just spent a boatload of dough on a new car...can you blame him for worrying about a potential problem on it? jajja 03-28-2004, 02:38 PM Jajja...relax bro. AndrewM3 03-29-2004, 03:27 AM He has every right to be angry/concerned about the flywheel/clutch. Its a 50-60k car and he paid good money for the product. He can ask, bitch, moan, and cause havoc between the BMW community and UUC about the product. Its not like he is choosing a color combo, this is a serious issue. Christ, Andrew  You people should be ashamed to drive a M3 with such uneducated, irresponsible and pathetic posts... Either listen to the manufacturer on the install, or return it.. Really only 2 choices with it.. Nico5spd 07-31-2004, 02:04 AM were putting one on right now, it fits loose as hell. the stock clutch fits perfect on the splines. UUC said its ok. BUT if the input shaft is screwed up next time we take the trans out, there is going to be a problem. i understand this guys concern. but you are right, there are only 2 choices, install it, or return it. the guys who do have it, is it quiet at idle? That looseness on the splines seems to defeat the entire purpose of a noise lessening sprung disc. I can tell you the rattle noise is there with or without a/c on. The level is not loud, but its there. Only when the car is cold you don't hear it, but once the car warms up a little. The noise start playing. I hope you are lucky than me. |
