how do i hook this up?

should come with a crossover.. hook up to the correct terminals from the outputs of the x-over

damn, these are the speakers that came with the car when i bought it. hmmmm I knew these things sounded weird, i mean not blown but sounded low. Where do I get a crossover that would work? or I guess two. So do these need tweeters?

well they are simply biampable speakers you can run seperate channels with different x-over freq to each side or by some simple in line x-overs to place on the tweeter's input to stop the bass from going through

are you running th factory amp or an aftermarket amp? if aftermarket how many channels is it? if not get some high pass x-overs and put them on the postive wire of the speaker wire going to the "40 wattt 3-way" side

I plan on running an amp, but damn man this is a freakin headach I really have no idea what im doing. whats the subwoofer side for then....I feel as though im getting annoying

is that why they had no bass because they were hooked up to the 40 wat side. I think i unerstand one side is the woofer and the other the woofer?

so regardless of anything I need a mini crossover for each of those, like those component speakers
exept my tweeter is built in.....so where in the hell do i get a crossover like that...that is small enough to fit somwhere under the dash

just go to radio shack and get an high pass frequency filter (tell them the speaker application it is for) and they can get you the right frequency cutoff you will need. then just put inline with the speaker wire

but then i would have no bass, right?

you will need to hook up speaker wire to both side, but on the 40 watt side you use the high pass filter to filter out the bass. on the woofer side you can use a low pass filter or just connect them regularly. what i recommend doing is tapping into the speaker wire just before the speaker and adding an extra piece of speaker wire to go to the other side, or you can jump off the woofer side and run speaker wire to the 40 watt side with the filter inline
