this local store is going out of business and everything they have is on clearance. i was thinking maybe i'll pick up a 12" w7 in a box. or should i just get two 10" w7s in a box?? the 12" w7 will run me about 600 and im not sure what the two 10"s will be.

anyone have any opinions on what i should get? or any suggestions to what other subs to look at. i used to own some power hx2's, and i would like to own a pair of those again, but they dont carry fosgate stuff anymore. they only have a few punch models left.

$600 for a 12" W7 is not that good of a price. They retail for around that same price. Power HX2's are nice if you have the right power for them. You can find them on ebay for fairly cheap. Brand new also. Just have to read and make sure they come with a warranty. You can get them on ebay for maybe 150-200 a piece. I have a set of HE's in a very small sealed box running a 501bd amp to them. The box is .90-1 cubic foot per sub. They pound extremely hard. If you have a powerful amp, just make sure to get a small small box so you dont blow them. Plus they were $100 for both off ebay. I had a 12" kicker solobaric before that in a vented box. I melted the voice coil on it. The kicker would shake my car more but the sound didnt travel as far as these 2 12" HE's. Also the kicker has terrible sound quality. Even in a sealed box. Ive tried both. They pound but only sound good to certain music. If you can find some brahma subs, i would go for those. Best sub out there. Pound harder than any other sub and also has awesome sound quality. They will run you about 350-400 a piece i think. Hope that helps

Or you could not be a ricer and go without the sub!!!! It's so annoying everytime someone goes past my home with their bass up loud.

yeah...........don't know if you've ever heard a W7 or not. they may be loud, but they're definitely not rice. they sound incredible at normal listening levels
