I just scored me a bottle of NXT wax. I'ma sucker for new waxes that come out. Anyhow I have some questions and any help would be greatly appreciated:

1) I was told that I should strip the wax off the car first because it doesnt bond with carnuba very well. I just clayed my car a couple weeks ago and dont want to clay it again but I read somewhere that usuing Dawn Dish Soap would stip the wax off my car. Do I need to do this?

2) Sh ould I use a electric buffer/polisher or do it by hand?

3) Is it okay to polish before putting on the NXT or do I polish after? I use the Meguiars polish and I believe it has carnuba in it.

4)After the NXT wax is on I can put carnuba wax over the NXT right?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm at work and dont have time to do a search and what i read before was a little vague...Any other tips would be great!

1) Any polish should take off the old wax
2) You don't really need a buffer with wax, it will be a waste of product.
3) Polish before putting the NXT on or else if you polish afterwards, you will remove any wax you put on.
4) Yes, as long as it's carnauba.

1) NXT has cleaners in it, its a freakin cleaner wax. It will remove any old wax from your paint. And no, don't ever wash with Dawn, its pointless.
2) Whichever you feel like. If its a cheapo orbital (ie, not a PC) then you might as well do it by hand.
3) Of course you polish before hand.
4) Yes, as long as its a carnuba with no cleaners, this means NO Gold Class, or pretty much ANY other wax you can buy at AutoZone, Pep Boys, etc. Go buy some S100 paste wax at a Harley dealer and use that. Then when you fall in love with it you can just put it on without the NXT first.
