Since my other race thread got towed for whatever reason here is another one. (I've had an exciting week) Ok, Last night I'm heading home on 485 and i run into a guy i know just threw the local shops around here and hes in his recently purchased 95 M3. Hes got basic bolt-ons: exhaust, intake, pullies, ECU etc.. Well he starts bumping at me. So i enguage the chip.

I just started f***ing around with him until he pulls up next to me and i rolled down my window. We slowed down to about 60 and I tell him to honk it off and we'll go at 3. So we did. I immediatly start pulling on him hard. By the time i hit 110-15mph i assumed he gave up because hes way back in my rearview.

any way its been a fun week and im headed to the 1/4 mile track on fri so ill let you know the results. Hopefully this wont get towed.

My bad, i just assumed since it was a racing story it belonged with the others and that the people browsing this forum would be more interested in it that over in off topic in between a bunch of random threads. It won't happen again. I'll just post my BMW kills from now on.

I got the chip mode that you can switch btwn stock & chipped. Its very cool b/c i can enguage it on the fly in about 5 sec through the cruise control button.

300 crank hp is very attainable with just a chip. remember turbo car + more boost = lottsa power!

And it only goes up even more if they upgrade to a k04 turbo from the stock k03. I've seen it for $1250, giving you 240 hp flywheel. Those cars get insane with barely any cash.

you're thinking of the a4 1.8t k04 package (s4s come stock w/ 250hp). the k04 package for the s4s is much more expensive but yields somewhere in the neighborhood of 500hp.

Both S4s and A4 1.8T's come stock with K03 turbos, and both have KO4 turbo kits available.

A Stage III skit from goapr.com will yield an awhp of around 400. I believe the faster stage III S4's run high 11's in the 1/4. Slap on additional mods like RS4 cams and you're lookin' at a very fast car.

nope twin k03s. i think the only audi to use a k04 stock was the 225hp tt.
